Gou Ruk Noodles (Pork Belly Noodles)

Here is my easy simple recipe for making delicious Gour Ruk Noodles (Pork Belly Noodles). It needs you only simple ingredients you can find everywhere yet give you super yummy dish. Let's make it !
(Teman-teman ini resep simple yang biasa aku pake untuk bikin Mie Gou Ruk alias mie samsam kecap. Rasanya top markotop, tapi gampang banget bikinnya. Aku pake tambahan jamur Champignon supaya jadi Gou Ruk jamur..hehe.Yuk, cobain sekarang!)
Ingredients:
- 300 grams of pork belly (samsam)
- 1 onion (bawang bombay)
- 4 cloves of garlic (bawang putih)
- 100 grams of Champignon mushroom (jamur Champignon kalengan)
- 1 tablespoon of sugar (gula pasir)
- 1/2 teaspoons of salt (garam)
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper (merica bubuk)
- 4 tablespoons of soy sauce (kecap asin)
- 4 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- 600 ml of water (air putih)
Noodles:
- 100 grams of egg noodles (mie telur)
- some soy sauce (kacap asin)
- some black pepper (merica bubuk)
- some frying oil (minyak goreng)
Steps:
1. Cut the pork belly onto 6-7 cm length with 1 cm thick. Cut the onion, garlic, and mushroom too.
(Potong-potong samsam menjadi panjang 6-7 cm dan tebal 1 cm. Potong kecil bawang bombay, bawang putih, dan jamur.)
2. Prepare a pot and pour in 1 tablespoon of oil. Saute the garlic and onion until soft.
(Siapkan panci dan tuang 1 sendok makan minyak goreng. Tumis bawang putih dan bawang bombay hingga lembut.)
3. Put in the belly and mushrooms and mix well. Season with soy sauce, sweet suy sauce, salt, sugar, and pepper.
(Masukkan potongan samsam dan jamur, aduk rata. Bumbui dengan kecap asin, kecap manis, garam, gula,, dan merica.)
4. Pour in the water and boil for about 1 hour in medium heat. The soup will become less and less until there is only small amount of it.
(Tuangkan air dan rebus hingga 1 jam di api medium. Kuah samsam akan menjadi sedikit.)
5. Boil some water and put in 100 grams of egg noodles inside. Cook for about 7-8 minutes until it's soft.
(Rebus air dan masukkan 100 gram mie telur kedalamnya. Masak selama kurang lebih 7-8 menit hingga mie lembut.)
6. Take the noodle off the water and drain the excess water. Put in the noodle in a bowl filled with 1 tablesppon of soy sauce, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, and 1 tablespoon of oil. Mix well.
(Anngkat mie dari air dan tiriskan sisa airnya. Letakkan pada sebuah mangkuk berisi kecap asin, merica bubuk, dan minyak goreng. Campur rata.)
7. Serve the noodle with 2 pork belly, some fried onions/ leek. You can add little of the sauce too on the noodles.
(Sajikan mie dengan 2 potong samsam, bawang goreng/ daun bawang. Boleh juga ditambahkan sedikit kuah samsam diatas mie. Enjoy!)
